Pigweed with Onions

Food for Thought

Onions are rich in chromium and in flavonoids, namely quercitin, which may help in halting the growth of tumors. Region: Aarsal

Ingredients
  1. 750 g pigweed, trimmed and washed
  2. ¼ cup of olive oil, for sautéting
  3. 1 tbsp salt
  4. 2 small onions, peeled and finely chopped

Method of Preparation
  1. Sauté the chopped onions until lightly browned.
  2. Add the salt and the pigweeds to the onions and mix over the heat until well cooked.

Yield 6 servings
