Food for Thought
Sumac is added to a variety of Lebanese dishes. The traditional therapeutic uses of sumac include the treatment of indigestion, anorexia and hyperglycemia. Region: Chouf
Ingredients
- 200 g colocasia tubers, peeled, cleaned and quartered
- 1 ½ tbsp sumac
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup olive oil
- ½ tsp salt

Method of Preparation
- Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan, then add the tubers and fry them until their color turns light brown.
- In a bowl, combine the fried tubers with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
